Electronic signature with Cryptolog

The Company offers its customers the option of electronically signing documents used to issue a life insurance or endowment policy, in compliance with the provisions of the European Regulation on electronic identification and trust services for electronic transactions within the European internal market (the "eIDAS Regulation").

The trust service provider used by the Company to enable the use of the electronic signature is Cryptolog International SAS ("Cryptolog") via its "Universign" solution.

The electronic signature proposed is the advanced electronic signature as defined by the eIDAS Regulation, in compliance with all the following requirements:

·         the electronic signature is univocally linked to the signatory;

·         the signatory can be identified;

·         the electronic signature has been created using electronic signature creation data which the signatory, with a high level of confidence, can use under their exclusive control; and

·         the electronic signature is linked to the data associating it with the document in such a way that any subsequent modification of the data and content is detectable.

To identify the subscriber, Crypotolog will first check whether the subscriber has a signature account with the SaaS platform based on the following elements: the subscriber's mobile phone number, email address, first and last name and date of birth. If the subscriber does not have a signature account, they must open one with Cryptolog's SaaS platform. During this process, Cryptolog will collect the subscriber's mobile phone number and email address, and will send them a one-time password by email. To do this, the distributor, representing the subscriber, must submit a copy of the subscriber's ID via a secure platform authorising the signature to be associated with the subscriber.

During the electronic signature creation process, Cryptolog issues a signature certificate, which is cryptographically linked to the document. The resulting encryption is a qualified electronic seal with a time stamp. The public key is extracted from the signature and is used to authenticate the identity of the signatory and to certify that no changes have been made to the document since it was signed.

The secure electronic signature thus enables the Company to ensure the reliability of the subscriber's electronic signature each time it is used to obtain the subscriber's consent to the full acceptance of one or more documents, or to transmit instructions.

The subscriber agrees that the electronically signed document retained by Cryptolog binds the signatory with the same probative force as if said document had been signed with a handwritten signature and that it constitutes the original of the document.

The subscriber has the right to withdraw their consent to the use of the electronic signature at any time, without this affecting the legality of previous processing based on his consent.
